Client: Shishu Poribohon
Areas of Focus: Children’s Winter Clothing Collection Illustrations
Year: 2025

This project was developed as part of a collaborative winter collection with Shishu Poribohon, centred around themes of sun, gardening, warmth, and culturally familiar moments within the Bangladeshi context.
The intention was to translate these themes into playful, character-driven illustrations that feel both comforting and locally rooted. The visual direction focused on creating small narrative worlds that children could intuitively connect with, balancing whimsy with a sense of everyday familiarity.
Two illustrations were developed:
- Mangrove Winter Survival Guide with a Croc in a Sock &
- Mao’s Secret Garden
Mangrove Winter Survival Guide
with a Croc in a Sock
Set within a mangrove landscape inspired by the Sundarbans, this piece imagines a crocodile navigating winter in its own way, wrapped in small comforts, basking in sunlight by the river, and humorously engaging with the idea of “survival.” The concept draws from the contrast between cold-blooded animals and Bangladesh’s soft winter warmth, translating it into a light, child-friendly narrative.
Mao’s Secret Garden
A quieter, more introspective piece, this illustration follows a cat resting within a secluded garden space. Surrounded by blooming flowers and filtered sunlight, the scene reflects stillness, safety, and the softness of slow afternoons. The garden becomes a metaphor for personal comfort and imagination.
Across both pieces, the visual language uses soft, muted tones and simplified forms to ensure adaptability for children’s apparel while maintaining a distinct narrative quality.
thank you!
